Word order

Main word order is Subject - Object - Verb (SOV). This means that the first element in sentence is the subject or agent, the next is a patient, followed by a recipient. The order of the SO is rigid, whereas the verb can be the first in some situations.
Agent of passive voice is marked by Dative case in transitive clauses, but also by Ablative in ditransitive passive.

Word order of intransitive clause

The intransitive clause consists only of subject and verb:

Tháme moól.
[man MASC-drink]
[tʰáme móːl]
The man is drinking.

Dzála ihíde.
[woman FEM-eat]
[d͡zála ihíde]
